The Society of Crazy Chicken Ladies, A Guy, and a Girl

Looks like we may get a bit more rain here. Sweet. It means I do not have to turn on the sprinklers.

I have decided to move the toms close to the house at night. I am tired of the thieves.

I need my car serviced too. Need the hinge welded back on. Need to find the new bass leak, need a new floor. Ah heck, I need a new body on that sucker. The engine and tranny are good old AMC, so they will last for ever! Unlike Chrysler's crap jeep engines they put in after the bought out AMC. But, the newer ones are getting back up to old standards.

Today my chickens are happy. They seem to have really fattened up since deworming them all. So much for keeping it natural. My birds were dying. Have had nothing since worming...Except Mr. F.... I need to take new pics of them.

I just realized, I only have 4 of my original birds left. Only 2 of the original were to illness. 4 were to the butcher, 4 to new homes, 6 to dogs, mine, and coons and hawks. ... What a year.

I have a REAL old cocker spaniel and it is getting impossible to feed her. She has basically quit eating and I have to keep buying different kinds of canned food so she can eat just a few bites then turn away. Gets so frustrating.

I wouldnt be having a nervous breakdown except that I had to cut my hours in half at work, so I only have HALF of what I used to bring in..my girls school shopping breaks me, and my stepdaughter is getting married on the first. My husband has not given me ONE PENNY toward anything for this darned wedding. I had to buy cowboy boots @100 a pair for the girls to wear (they will never wear them again after this wedding), I just spent 300 on thier dresses. All they are doing is walking the flower girl down the aisle.

THEN-
myself is rectangular shaped. So, nothing looks good. I have no idea what to buy. AND she told me, "Wear whatever you want". She told her mother and future mother in law to wear tan. Well, I am feeling very ummmmmmmmm not part of things. Not one thing has been shared with me, and now 'wear whatever you want' makes me feel really sad. Especially when I thought, "Oh, if I have any kind of color, I am going to stand out- I do NOT want to stand out in the pictures"...I want to blend in.

So, after an unsuccessful two days of trying, and settling, and lowering my standards and everything- I have come up with NOTHING.

I'm so sorry, Mom2. Do you have a CATO where you live? Or Kohl's? They have the prettiest cloths for really really reasonable prices. I'd go with a tan also - just a thought but maybe a long jacket and long skirt with a pretty scarf. The same thing happened with my future daughter in laws mother. She told me to just wear whatever I wanted so I wore a nice ankle length skirt with a suit coat and once I got to the church I found that their entire side of the family were dressed in long fancy dresses. I was so hurt and hacked off. Needless to say, I have nothing to do with my DL's mother if I can help it.
