Shell casings inside mason jars? That's really out there (just my off the top of my head). Ammunition at the ready - great way to start a marriage - LOL! I'm so feeling for you.

YIKES Again!

So, what kinda theme are they calling this wedding? John Deere colors... Long beards... ZZ Top, ammo in moon-shine jars... And cow boy boots... Well, you can resell the boots afte the ceremony. You won't really get what you paid, but you will re-coop some of the losses. Did I just say losses? Maybe the dresses from last year, you can sell at a consignment as well as this years dresses? I know, that may sound a bit cold, but, hell, if these are things that will not be worn again... Unless there is sentimentality involved here, There is no reason to keep them. Hell, since its a hoe-down wedding, may as well get youself a jumper dress and pin a flower to your jumper pocket and go barefoot. Totally hillbilly style. Yup.

I think you should go totally sixties -- flower child and all, beads, tie dye, and flowers in your hair. That would really blow their minds.

Oh and I don't think you have to worry about "standing out" in this group. John Deer yellow and green Tux? Nope, no worry about standing out at all.

Lot's of reading... I just caught up. Now if it's like the other thread I'll just always end up behind 20 pages since even with the browser open, I'm not always actively reading.
Hey Mish - I was looking at my juveniles today and I have a real nice and beautiful black copper Marans rooster coming up but he is clean legged.

Darn it. Might be worth breeding him to feather legged hens to see if his offspring end up feather legged? Still lots of demand for BCM even if they're not FBCM, so you'll have no problem selling the chicks. He might end up with a great personality too.

Well Mish... as you can see, we are slow moving today. Yesterday was the slowest day for the thread. Everyday prior however, the thread topped out as the most active. As you can see... Its been open only 5 days, and we are even more chit chatty here than on the other thread. AND it can get pretty chit chatty on there too.

I just had the fun of watching my kid jump in the cold pool. He decided that enough was enough and he was going to brazen it out and go in. LOL. I don't know how much more use we will get out of it yet this summer. We keep having nights in the 50s from here on out, it's going to make it awful hard to want to go in.

So Olive, on the color breeding... Think I'd be able to breed the pink skinned silkie back to a proper skinned silkie and not throw to many pink off-spring, and those off spring just use a PQ birds? Or would I be risking a larger number of pink skinned silkies?
