You forgot ME Nova! lol. Not much happening here, i know.

Buuuut i couldn't fight the urge, and i candled really quick while i situated the hydrogometer in there, and added a couple more pint jars just in case i have humidity issues...........I thought it would be better now than later, now i can just put water through the holes and i don't have to worry about shrink wrap later.

9 of the 12 are developing! Only one is cocoa's, since i had put 3 in the fridge. Irony. I didn't eat or even take home any of her eggs all summer, i kept them in a bucket in the coop and tossed every couple weeks, in the desperate hope someone would brood. It HAD to be when i finally gave up for the year. Lesson learned, never start a serious project without incubating, just in case of situations like this.

Praying desperately for another cookie, so she has a friend. Blue the roo is turning out a bit skittish and suspicious, like his poppa.

Nova, you were on to something about her huge nose! I don't know what, yet, but it could be a clue to her heritage since only a few breeds have "cavernous nostrils". Polish was the example listed, but that's definitely not her. At the base of every normal feather, she has one long "hair" growing.........??? Blue's nose is normal.

Well now that's a deal. No problem except most of my blues are not showing much copper. They are definately (sp ?) blue marans. I just got rid of all my extra big blue copper roosters. They got the copper gene but not showing it much. I will look tomorrow and see if I can find a roo. Lots and lots of pullets. I do have one young one I know for sure. I was kinda holding him back because he is out of my FBCM that fell and broke his neck and the momma is a blue splash. He has feathered legs and copper on his neck. So that is a possibility. They are all around 3 months old. Tell him and see what he says. I will be going to Ada in the next couple of weeks to pick up some more FBCM chicks from Jerry. The pullet will be all blue and I have lots of them. I will even give him a trio.

Well now it appears I am having coyote problems now too. My neighbors were around a bon fire last night and heard something they said sounded like a coyote and then heard a sheep. So Bob grabbed the flashlight, his gun, and the dogs and they rushed right over here. He even jumped the sheep fence instead of using the gate. Said the sheep were all standing in the barn. So he jumped the fence on the other side and DID see a coyote !!! It took off before he could get a shot off. The sheep never make a sound at night and they all lay in the barn at night not stand. Now I'm really worried. Always something.
 
Jace says "I'll take it!" lol, now he is all excited. You just made his day. Now that nmad serema cockerel won't have no one to pick on! I will work on a better pick of the boy for ya. Just be warned that Fritz has been using his crest a pull place. I really am not liking that cockerel. But he is only a jerk to the other cockerels...
