Is this the start of Mouse going broody?
She already laid her egg earlier and she still hasn't left the nesting box yet.
It's getting close to bed time for them

Update:
I just went to out not only put the hens who refuse to sleep inside in the coop, but to also check on Mouse. She's still in the same spot from earlier.

Most of time my hens do not sit on nest until broodiness commences. The exceptions appear to be when nest is close roost and when last egg deposited late in the day. Another sign broodiness for real is she gets growly when I or another hen approach nest site.

It's 4:23am and I went out a little bit ago as the motion light kept turning on. She's still in the nesting box while the others are outside wandering around for food.

Lots of reasons a bird might stay in a nest...
...illness, bullying, crowding....or just a 'lounger'.
She may have just laid late enough in day to stay in the nest at dusk, have had that happen several times.

The birds wandering around in the middle of the night is concerning,
does the motion light sine in the coop?

These are the signs I look for to decide if a bird is broody or not.
Is she on nest most the day and all night for 2-3 days in a row?
When you pull her out of nest and put her on the ground, does she flatten right back out into a fluffy screeching pancake?
Does she walk around making a low cluckcluckcluckcluckcluck(ticking bomb) sound on her way back to the nest?
If so, then she is probably broody and you'll have to decide how to manage it.

The motion light is on the coop. It's supposed to help with keeping critters out while also letting up know if there's either a hen or critter out there.

She's still in the nesting box and growled a little at me when I was removing the other hens' eggs.
She went broody last year and raised 2 sets of chicks within a month of being given to her. She's 2 years old this year.
She hasn't fluffed up at me yet.

I put 4 dummy eggs underneath her for now just to see if she really is going broody. If she is going broody, then I have a reason to get more chicks.
