For those of you who are wondering about the crosses

If you breed a Buff roo on light hens, you will get sexlinks, pure Buff females and males similar to the lights but should have a yellowish sheen on them.

If you cross a Light roo on Buff hens, you will get pure Light females and males the same color as in the sexlink cross.

My red sussex, Red Hen. She's trying to kick the Welsummer off the nest..... Red Hen is my favorite of all my laying hens. She's the most curious and outgoing - always the first out of the coop in the morning and the first to come and say hi when I approach.

Blondy, my Buff Sussex.

She's about the prettiest bird I have.
