I finally got my first egg out of my Speckled Sussex - Snitzel on Monday. She's got to be around 8 months old.

I was so excited to hear her performing her egg song for near on an hour! She has now given me 4 eggs this week, and it's winter here so is quite unexpected.

Feel quite sorry for my friend. He bought 3 Speckled Sussex for £180. He got them home to find one was blind and the 2 month later 2 of them were killed!

Oi!! Why so much? Were they suppose to be show quality breeders? I must be out of touch with the going rate.
