The Sussex thread!

Hello,
I am posting because I just got my first Sussex; a Coronation pullet that is still small, maybe 3 mo. old. I can already tell that she is wonderful and I will want more.
I have Bantam and LF Cochins. I chose them for their personalities and calm nature and think Sussex will fit in well. I also have a pen of Wheaten Ameraucanas and a trio of Blue and Splash Marans. The Marans are nearly as sweet as my Cochins. The Ameraucanas are beautiful but comparatively flighty so I think I will phase them out and make room for Sussex.
I wonder how it took me so long to find out about Sussex but I don't see them often in Oklahoma

Here is the pair of coronations I just picked up to go with the lone coro. hen I have:

The rooster is so impressive and huge in person! So excited to have found them and can't wait to start hatching in the spring

Those coronation Sussex are beautiful! Here's my 18 week old speckled roo. Is he acceptable for breeding? Not too sure about that white tail feather...
