Her comb is very pinky and her wattles are in and almost red - so not too long

I was thinking 1-2 weeks until we get an egg from her. Then maybe the others will join lol. They silkie mixes so its hard to tell...can't go by color of their combs as their combs are pretty much grayish. at least from what I can see without searching through their crests LOL here is one.

well she laid her first egg Our SS hen lays a light brown color. You cant tell by picture but her first egg is a very light shade of pink. Compared it to our egg from one of our 2 yr old leghorn hens.

Congrats! My SS lay pinkish-cream eggs. I love them.

thanks! I was curious about what shade her eggs would be since she is a mix of a leghorn and a SS I am very pleased. adds more color to my eggs!

Congrats! I think I am going to try one last time on this breed. I'm going to buy more pullets or chicks this spring. I have not been able to keep the hens around for different reasons. But I have a beautiful SS rooster that wants some girls.
