Hi everyone! I've learned to love this breed over the last 6 months, I've found them to be the most curious, gentle birds in my flock (along with my brahmas). I wanted to share a few pictures of my girls.

My light sussex, Sam, 6 months:

And my coro girl, a few weeks old:

Here is an updated pic of my 13 week old Speckled Sussex pullets...

This is Edna She was very slow to grow out, but when she did.. BOOM... I love her colors..

This is Slobber... Long name attached to her.. but it has to when we pulled her out of a dogs mouth, she was covered in slobber. I love her colors as well

I purchased this light sussex hen from a breeder 3 months ago...and am new to heritage breeds. How old do you think she is?

Thanks!

I'm looking for some advise from some Sussix breeders.!!!!!!!!!!! I recently obtained some light sussix, split to coro sussix and pure carnation. What would be the best for my backyard flock, to keep the lights pure and the carnations pure or go ahead and split them? I have been told that the carnation do not do well in the cold is that true? Thanks in advance for any help.

Scott
