The Sussex thread!

Well - that should take her down a peg in the eyes of the others !

Also - handle her as much as you can while she is isolated. Flip her upside down and pet her belly (cradle like a baby) and all sorts of things a head chicken doesn't like. That usually ensures my roo stays clear of my ankle for weeks - I cuddle him! ha ha So that may work on your aggressive hen too.

Do it up like crazy .... good luck.

Sussex may very well be my favourite breed. I don't have any yet. But I am look'n.

Despite my LaLa being naughty right now, she's been my favorite from the beginning. She is personality plus! She was the first one to escape the brooder box. She's the one that taught me that chickens are not stupid, and that being outsmarted by a chicken is very humbling.

I picked up these two SS last night. They are supposed to be pullets. What do you think?

These are supposed to be between 13-16 weeks old.
