Sussex have white legs . From what I can see on online pics,
Welsummers have yellow legs. Sussex are sometimes born
with a yellowish tint to their legs which turn that proper "white
with a pinkish cast" as they get older. May have to wait a bit
to see which chicks have what color legs.

Our two SS are named Speckles and Freckles. Very original I know .

We named ours Pox as in chicken pox because of all her speckles and spots.

What do your Sussex eggs look like? Does anyone have any pics to post?

I bought a Welsummer chick because I wanted dark brown eggs. She ended up being a Speckled Sussex. She's not really friendly or sweet and I'm not sure what kind of eggs she'll lay. Trying to decide if I should sell her or keep her. Thanks in advance!
