Those are some handsome boys you have there. Yes, they are flighty and the girls will give the silkies a run for the broodiness trophy!

I can't wait until they grow up too. When I feed them they fly up on my hand or the bowls edge that I am holding. Did you have a chance to look at your PM- I sent pics of them. Not sure if the little one is a female? Nice job with your birds & Thanks for everything. Love this breed!

The little one does look like a pullet. I hope all your chicks from GFF are pullets

just curious...when was that last shipment....two weeks ago....by chance....and what happened...doa...(dead on arrival) or something else happen

also getting some honas from bryce at ewe crazy farms...they have been shipped out today...getting so pumped....thanks bryce...you have been great with everything....cant wait to get them...already called the post office and everything...brooder is done...so pumped...cant explain but im sure you guys no the feeling...lol...well have a great night

ok they are here and loving it...they jumped right into the food and water...so cute...thanks bryce...i will be getting a second batch from you prolly after summer to give you the heads up....i would recommend byrce at ewe crazy farms to anyone looking for these birds..they came living...straight feet, blackish, no colored toes...and from what i can see dark mouths...im sure everything changes as they age but i love the new birds...bryce was great at replying back, great communication, great customer service, and also has great birds....thanks again...here are some pics...

so quick question...i have them under a red light...i just TRIED to change to regular light and that was a no go....they started to fight as soon as i changed it...it was like flipping a switch....any thoughts...are these birds that aggressive....cause as soon as i switched it back they just stopped...just like i switch the light.....just curious as i have never raised these birds and i def have never seen this behavior in a bird...right now i have over 200 birds...and none of them responded like that...r they going to be ok when i eventually change them to different light...or when i put them outside...kinda nervous now

low methionine in the feed and or quality of protein can cause some breeds to be more aggressive. Even if you are fermenting the feed, get them some game bird crumbles.

Move to a brooder plate. I like the plates that Premier1 sells.
