Breezepaw didn't budge from her sister's nudging, instead staring at the calico tom. "Why?" Her voice was barely above a whisper. Silver-eyes seemed to recoil slightly as she spoke, as if he had just been clawed.
She didn't wait for a answer, instead following Beetlepaw quickly, positive he was behind her.
And he was. As she sat down beside her sister, she saw him grab a vole, and he trotted up to the pair, settling down next to Breezepaw. She edged away slightly, Snakelash's gray tabby still giving silent warnings to keep away from the tom.
"Did you hear?" He mumbled quietly, forcing a attempt at a conversation. "About the badger attack? Sunpaw said it was pretty nasty."
