Bluefrost had been sitting and grooming her pelt, but she couldn’t help noticing the tension between these three cats, especially Brightcloud and Hickoryshade. She couldn’t help feeling bad for Hickoryshade, however, she also knew it was a part of live he must understand and, hopefully, grow from the hurt of losing the cat he loved to another tom.
“What do you mean I’m not? I’m fine,” she insisted. She winced at the sudden jab she felt from inside her belly.
