~The Threat of The Shadows~ A Warrior Cat RP

Meadowfrost shook her pelt, how about they did something useful instead of sitting here and chatting. "Uhm... want to go hunting? Or gather more moss?" She asked, "I mean, I think the preypile needs some filling. But we could always do with some more fresh bedding." Perhaps doing something would help the awkwardness, if he didn't feel like helping her she'd shrug it off and go on her own. Whether he joined or not didn't matter much to her, though it'd be nice to have an extra pair of jaws and paws to help her.
“Okay, that’d be nice.” He stood up.

Wildpaw curled his tail around his paws, his eyes narrowed. "Don't knock it 'till you try it, Beetlepaw. Just because some of the apprentices are hostile, doesn't mean I'm going to be. I made a effort to talk to you, didn't I?" He drew his tongue over a black furred paws, eyeing her. "Never said you had to change yourselves. You just have to put in a little effort, and not jump to conclusions all the time, and maybe cats will want to hang out with you and Breezepaw."

Beetlepaw's fur bristled a bit "You wouldn't understand. Besides why should we put in effort when others won't, if cats don't want to hang out with us then so be it." She replied sharply before she sighed as she let her shoulders slump, she took a breath before she spoke softer "Thanks for the chat Wildpaw, I can't make you see things from my prospective and I can't really explain my ways so I'm sorry."

“Okay, that’d be nice.” He stood up.

The she-cat let out a sigh of relief as she let a small smile cross her muzzle. "Alright, maybe we could bring back some prey for the elders and queens first, then we can eat later." She said, letting her tail tip brush along his shoulder, leading him out of the camp. She couldn't wait to get back out into the forest, it felt like it'd been forever since she hunted, although she had returned from a hunt just earlier.

“Sounds good.” He tried not to let his surprise show when she brushed her tail, but he followed willingly into the forest.

"How do you know I wouldn't understand?" Wildpaw didn't snap, but his voice was bitter. "You sound like a queen trying to tell her kit that they won't understand Clan politics. It's the same thing, really. Who says they won't understand?" He drew his tongue over his paw one last time before settling it to the ground. "It should be simple, really. All you had to say was, 'no thanks, Wildpaw. Breezepaw and I would like to eat alone.' Instead of inviting me over and proceeding to jump to conclusions. Have a nice day, Beetlepaw." He stood, and padded away towards the apprentices den.

Stopping near an old tree stump, one of the trees that had fallen victim to the forest fire from long ago. The top of the stump was still black and charred, but in the middle of the stump, you could see the beginning of a new tree, a tiny seedling beginning to grow. A hole was at the base of the stump, an old rabbit's warren. "The last time I was here the scent of rabbits was strong, there might be a family of rabbits here. Or some mice nearby." She informed, sniffing at the hole. The rabbit scent was still there, but it was a tad stale. The rabbit that lived here must have been grazing out for most of the day.

Hickoryshade nodded his agreement. “Want to split up?”

Beetlepaw huffed but decided she didn't really want to stay on this conversation anymore either, she couldn't defend herself that well anyways "Yeah, alright." She mumbled as she stood with a stretch, she had more important matters to think about anyway.

Hickoryshade nodded his agreement. “Want to split up?”

She quickly nodded "That'd be a good idea." She responded, getting ready to trot off. She stopped in a small clearing, where the sun filtered the branches of the trees. Leaves and nuts littered the forest floor. If she waited long enough, she was sure a mouse might come along to feed. Perhaps a bird or squirrel if she was lucky enough. Burying herself deep under the cover, she kept her eyes on the clearing, watching or any slight movement.

After watching her go, Hickoryshade crept along the other side, ears pricked and tail low, waiting to catch a scent.
