You did spell it right, and yes! They're definitely going to be bred next year. The serama as well, just on a smaller scale.

Ummm, can't say there is one. If I give them something that would be considered "Greek" and I remember your question, I'll get back to you

I too would really like a pullet. For some reason, any clutch sired by Lady Gaga leans heavily on the male side

At the moment they eat a lot of pear. We have too much pears falling from the tree next to the coop , at the moment. Been busy to make conserves (pears with cinnamon in pot)

I made about 20 of these together with my daughter. And could make 20 more if I wanted to.
Wild birds, the pig next door and a neighbour with 8 larger chickens are helping too.

Previous it was fruit from our raspberry/blackberry cross an blueberry.
Before that the cherries.
After this comes grapes.
And blooming grass is an all time favourite too.

I loved seeing the updates about them and following along! For as long as I have known about landraces, I have wanted to get chickens that would maybe be good for tolerating our climate and let them breed and raise their own chicks just to see how the land here would shape a landrace. But I already have too many chickens to do that, LOL. And I have no idea what would be good for this climate. We have both extremes here. It can get -10℉ in the winter and 120℉ in the summer.

Apparently Quartz produces a ton of males. So much for having multiple pullets from Quartz (only one of them is not a male). I will have to talk to her about that.

Its not Lady Gaga who is responsible for the gender of his chicks. Its the females. Female birds have ZY and the male have ZZ chromosomes.

Yup, I know. That's mainly why it puzzles me. He has offspring with over four different hens, and the amount of males produced in all cases was much higher than the females. What are the chances of all of his hens to favour males? I find it a little funny

That's what my goal is a well, but they're chickens. They have plans of their own. Not a single Tsouloufati has ever gone broody here. Just something in my line, I guess. I have to rely on my other birds and my incubator to keep on producing Tsouloufates

Yes, chickens are funny.

And yea, you can be lucky on not. its usually not exactly 50-50.
