Hi! My Ameraucana (from Murray McMurray Hatchery) looks just like the last picture, but her neck feathers are all black instead of the yellow. However, she lays what I would say are green, not blue, eggs. The egg picture is her very first egg, so the shade might change over time. Let me know what you all think!

Here’s my Blue Americauna, aptly named Blue. She’s a broody bitty. Spends more time with babies than without! But she’s a great mom and when she is laying, she lays beautiful eggs. I bought her from Meyer Hatchery.

That’s an Easter Egger.
 
Look up the Ameracauna alliance egg color reference chart? It shows all the different shades they lay. The chart is for comparing egg color shades.

The Ameracauna breeder club is working on improving the egg color. Some say the eggs are too green, or too light in blue color, & working on correcting the egg color.
