*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

"Its delicious." Fent said around a mouthful of stew. He quickly ate the rest of the bowl and set it in the sink. "Is there anything you need before I go?"

Gwen nudged her horse into a trot. Hopefully she could make it back to the castle by midmorning tomorrow.
Emilee set her empty bowl Beside Fent's. "No, no, you go on. Otherwise you won't get there till the middle of the night," she said. She wasn't looking forward to his leaving and her father returning but she knew it had to happen at some point.
---
Edmund followed closely but kept silent.

Fent frowned. "Do you want me to stay then?"

(umm?)
Emilee shook her head. "No, it's fine, e need to get going. You never know what you'll come across late at night, so you'd better hurry," she said, though she wished she could say otherwise.
---
Edmund grinned. "Come on, Your Highness, I can see the castle from here," he sped his horse up, eager to get home.
---
Mariah knocked again, louder this time. "Audric, it is I, your queen," she called.

Edwin left Audric's study through a back door. He was confident that his father could persuade Mariah to let Peter get married sooner than Edwin was supposed to.
---

Fent nodded and walked to the door. "Thank you for the meal."

Gwen didnt need any further encouragement. She quickly caught up to Edmund. It would be great to see her sister and Linnet again.

(ae need a king)

Emilee smiled. "It was a pleasure," she said.
---
Edmund slowed slightly to let the princess get ahead of him. He knew what he was doing was probably best for everyone involved, and as much as he hated not carrying out Queen Mariah's wish, Gwen's wish was more important.
---
(?? Audric)

Fent walked out the door without another word. He swiftly mounted and rode down the path. (into the sunset)

Gwen galloped her horse towards the castle. She would see Alex as soon as she made it in.

(no of Alnwick)

Emilee watched sadly as Fent left. She didn't really care–she couldn't care. After a moment, she finally went inside to wash dishes.
---
Fawn gasped when she saw the two riders out her window. It could only be Edmund and Gwen. Grinning, she hurriedly tied her cloak on and rushed down the steps.
---
(Ah. He's kinda fun being a fill in everyone can use)

(true.)

Gwen smiled when she reached the gates. A guard let her in, and sent a servant running after the king.

(didnt the queen leave to find Gwen?)
