*The Verge of War* A Medieval Rp

Alfric was slumped on his bed. He stared solemnly at the ground. After they found him in Alex's clothes, with his own in a terrible state, they had taken away his invitation to the ball. All the other knights and guards were getting dressed around him, or had already left. His eyes fill with tears and he screws up his face, turning on his bed to face the wall. He wonders if that girl from the laundry was going. He guessed she wasn't 'good' enough for a ball like that. Stupid royalty. Stupid ball. He leans his head against the wall and lets out a long sigh.

Alex, seeing that Afric was upset, punched him good naturedly on the arm. "Next time."

Maud smiled broadly. "Of course, princess. Let me help you with it," she offered.

Linnet felt sick at her stomach from a couple different things, but she wasn't going to let that dissuade her from going to the ball. It had been weeks since there had been anything fun and who knew when the next fun thing would be.

Richard went down stairs to help with the carriage for the princess.

Edwin smiled at her. "Your eyes. They're so very blue," he said softly.

The servant nodded, bowed and walked away. Mariah nodded at him, pleased with her carriage arrangements.

Redd stared out the window, eager for them to get moving and gone. He flipped the vial around in his hand unconsciously.
