The weirdest thing you have seen on the highway.

Oh, then this other time this boat was just sitting in the middle of the road. There was no car hauling it, just a random boat sitting there and there were about 10 cop cars surrounding it. It's like it fell from the sky.

There are some really great stories here!

This was a country road I was walking down and we found muddy guy's pants on the side of the road. Hmm....not the most exciting story but we do know that that day some guy was walking around pantless

My husband was driving down the road a couple of months ago and saw a man up ahead walking with a purpose, and discarding things vigorously behind him. When he caught up with him and passed he realized what he was tossing--his clothes. He was stark naked walking briskly down the road in less than 30 degree weather.

Happy Belated Birthday!

This isn't on a highway but on a very busy Indianapolis, city street.
There is a man who stands on a certain street corner at any given time of day who shadow boxes. He shadow boxes on the corner, he will shadow box going across the street to shadow box on the other corner and this goes on for hours. He has been doing this for at least 30+ years that I know of as I have seen him throughout the years starting from when I was a small kid. Anyway, I used to think he was mentally challenged until recently. I told my dad I saw the shadow boxer not too long ago and my dad tells me he is a college grad with a great job, he just does the boxing thing for kicks and to make people smile!

Last november while driving through New Mexico in a remote area there was a horse standing next to the highway..... which I guess isnt too weird if there are wild horses there but this was a young colt probably about a year old.... with his front feet cobbled!

There was nothing around there... no water, all desert.... I told my boyfriend and he said
"it wasnt cobbled" Of course he was driving and it was on my side of the road and I said yes it was...and it was going to die out there, it already looked pretty skinny. I said we should do something, of course he said "what can we do, we dont live here, we are pulling a full enclosed trailer, we cant do anything, I'm sure it's someone's horse" So we kept going.... and I couldnt stop thinking about that horse and about 10 minutes later I started crying.. I just couldnt not do anything. So my boyfriend said okay, I dont know what we are going to do but he turned around and went back. The horse was indeed cobbled and all bloody from trying to run and move his feet. When we stopped he ran away from us.... and a little toward the highway which freaked me out. I didnt have anything I could put water in so I took this 5 lb bag of apples we had bought and put all of them out on the ground, hoping that would at least give him some moisture and a little food... not the best but better than nothing. There was no way to get near him without scaring him into the highway. I believe most of that area was Indian Reservation but I'm not positive. So reluctantly I got back in the car and we checked the mileage and then kept track of how far he was from the nearest offramp/cross street. I then called 911 when we had the mileage, talked to a woman dispatcher, told her the situation and that not only was the horse at risk but if it ran in the highway, it would be dangerous for cars. She assured me that someone would be sent out. I never did find out what happenened, we had to keep going to make an appt in a town about 50 miles away from there. So I did what I could I guess... I always wonder what happened. More than likely they shot the horse, but that is definitely more humane then letting it die out there with no food /water or means of escape with hobbled feet. I wish I could find the person that did this, they would be shackled and dropped in the middle of the mojave desert

Sorry a sad story everyone ........

The "Shim" named "Carmen Rose" who has a 60 year old Vietnam vet who lived in a teepee in the hills, wore womens clothing (including a VERY well endowed stuffed bra) and pulled his little red wagon down the road every day to the soup kitchen, food bank, etc. He screamed and yelled and ranted at anyone who harrassed him, but if you were nice he was actually almost normal and nice to talk to...he is one of my top 10 weirdest things seen on the highway!
