This isn't funny, but it is the most interesting thing that happened to me while I drove on a highway.
When I lived in Massachusetts, I was driving to my job in Nashua New Hampshire. I worked with mentally retarded adults and found that if I prayed for the clients while I drove to work, I usually had a much better day with them than when I just listened to music. So, I was praying on the way.
A truck ahead of me had a double row of metal wheel barrows in it, one to the left, one row to the right. One by one, left, right they began to fly out of the truck bed directly at me.
I remember seeing the barrows flying directly towards me to the left, and quietly and without fear moving to the right, when the right barrow would let fly, and I would drive to the left. I had to drive all over the road to avoid them because they left the truck and just veered at an angle, and it always seemed to be where my car was currently. I dodged 6 metal barrows back and forth without really thinking about what I was doing, just moving with what I saw. I think it was because I was so mentally stilled from my praying that I was able to just move the right way and not panic.
After it was over, I reacted with a good deal of emotion and thankfulness for that overwhelming calm, thinking of what could have happened if I had panicked and made the wrong moves - what if one of those metal wheelbarrows had come through the window!
The truck never stopped. I don't think he noticed. Bet he got the surpise of his life when he made it to his destination!
