So the little Welsummer that I'm brooding with the EE is the leader of the two. Had them both in my flower garden while I weeded. They had a blast and loved their outdoor time. Had them out there a good 3-4 hours. Brought out their little feeder and waterer. They looked right at home. Found a little cover if they felt nervous. So fun. Fun to be in the garden with them and their antics. The other little Welsummer is with her protective broody silkie Momma. She is looking beautiful and well groomed. Even though she's got teenage feathers coming in...she does not look as scruffy as the other two, I've noted. She is also actually quite friendly--to the broody's dislike--Hahaha. But I want a friendlier hen so I will keep visiting that broody and chick to keep her friendly and used to me. Dixie, the broody packs quite a punch with her beak though.
. Sandy is 3.5 weeks old and is supposed to be a pullet. I was sure to pick a chick with a very well defined V and dark eyeliner. Unfortunately I think Sandy might be an exception to that rule because "she" is starting to seem like a "he". I was SO excited about having a Wellsummer pullet but I'm afraid that's not the case.
