So here's my question...I haven't hatched Wellie eggs since last spring. I was told when hatching Marans to keep the humidity low and/or with sandpaper scuff off some coating on the aircell side. Should we be doing the same thing with our Wellie eggs?

Kim, I run my humidity the exact same as you do and home grown eggs hatch for me on day 21 and shipped eggs 21-22 days. Will say that I like to leave eggs in eggs cartons for the hatch with top of carton removed. Don

I wish EVERYBODY had a super mail carrier like my Ms. Linda, she's even working with/teaching the other PO workers during sorting. When some become careless, she gives them the stink eye and explains how delicate those embryos are. I wish ALL PO workers were animal lovers. I believe more of our shipped eggs would hatch.
Pink, I set our bitties-to-be at Noon today. Lockdown will be Tu, May 10 and hatch on Fri, May 13.

Welcome Muggs....have loved your combo auctions and probably bid on them earlier this year, what a gorgeous egg basket you have!! Great thread here with lots of Wellie info. Gotta love those Welllies.

Ewe, getting the same storm here just a little delayed as I'm further east. Have 3 bators running and hatching happening as we speak. Hope the electricity stays humming here. Also just set some Marans from Pinks this pm...we are off to the races.

Pinks, those are some awesome colored eggs you sent and the packaging was awesome, love the litttle green packets enclosing the eggs. Snug as bug in a rug.

Can't believe it, I have a persistent broody LF Wellie here. She is from Erhards line. Have had Wellies for 3 years and never a broody till now. Not trusting her to stay put so no eggs for her. Hope she gives up soon.
