How old were your Wellies when they started laying? I have 5 June girls and was wondering when Wellies start to lay?

Mine laid around eight to ten months old.

Update news, Nate lost six of his chickens last night.....he is out to war with a predator or predators that got them! Can't blame him for feeling helpless after he lost most of his flock earlier this year and now this........ Whatever it is, I hope he finds them and be done with predators for a good while.

He thinks it is either a fox or jackal. Who knows for sure until he sits out there and finds out what it is. Poor Nate! He lost much of his Brahmas and one Lav Seabright roo. I hope he does get his coop set up tighter for this winter before one determined predator decide to wipe out his rarest flocks for good!

Did you all like that close up of the egg? It was probably the size of a large egg from the store. It wasn't a little tiny pullet egg. No egg today so I'm hoping tomorrow.
