I've found it rather discouraging for someone to ask what the sex of the birds are and have to listen to everyone chime in with the fact that they are cockerels. So I won't do that, I'll just tell you not to expect eggs.
So that's where all the pullets are - just kidding. Once my broody starts up again I'm sure I'll be contacting you for some more hatching eggs. I definitely still want a dark layer or two.
Erhard has both Gold and Silver Duckwing Welsummers. To my knowledge he is not "working" on them. Meaning, as far as I know, Erhard is not crossing his Gold & Silver Welsummers with any of his Standard Welsummers.Erhard Wiehs is working on the Duckwing (both in Gold and Silver) patterns in his Welsummers. So if you get your eggs/chicks from him, there is your answer. Even it is not accepted in this country but they are the true Duckwings that has not been crossed over by another breed to get the color effect. I know he is working on it and you should continue to work on it as well.
