Now is this the same for Bantam Wels? I have a incubator full of them.

I've never bred bantam willies, only LF. Maybe some others with bantams can comment. I would assume they would have the same markings as LF but there I go assuming again. Lol!

I have bantam silvers and the eyeliner trick does not apply, neither does assessing the V on the top of the head. I have noticed that the females are lighter at hatch. This probably would not apply to standard color bantam Wellies

Thanks faykokoWV! I knew you had bantams and hoped you might chime in. So you are saying that perhaps the partridge colored bantam wellie chicks may have marking like those of the LF?

yes, they may - think there area a few others with partridge bantams on here - hopefully they will chime in

Cream Legbars have blue eggs? Am I reading this right?

Yup. These two eggs are from a pullet. She laid 2 pullet sized eggs, then supersized them. They are more blue than they look in the picture.

I am part of the Welsummer family again!, hope it is a girl so I can keep it, but I will just have to wait and see!:
