Yeah I couldn't think of any but didn't know for sure. Oh well. Thanks for looking.Nobody is listed on the WCNA as a breeder in KY.
I just stopped in at FF and they got 25 from Townline (same hatching as mine) and someone sexed them all as pullets and 3 roos. So I went and looked; the roos definitely had no markings at all, so it looks like I have five pulletsBased on eye markings and top of the head markings, in my opinion I would say all pullets. With my line all my pullets look just like this.
Congrats! unless you were looking to get a roo.I just stopped in at FF and they got 25 from Townline (same hatching as mine) and someone sexed them all as pullets and 3 roos. So I went and looked; the roos definitely had no markings at all, so it looks like I have five pullets![]()
I stay sold out usually about a month out. Have been selling for about 3 years, breeding longer. I do sell most here on BYC, sometimes on eBay and a few from a couple other places. They sell really well because the breed is uncommon and the birds and eggs are beautiful. Not really. I have four other boys here that get along. I am tempted but don't know how popular the Welsummers would be to hatch out and sell.
Congrats! My Welly, Tea, finally laid this morning. Took 9 1/2 months. My last layer from my first batch of chicks and of course she's the only one to lay in the bushes. My EE laid her second egg in the middle of the yard and her 3rd on the coop floor but now always in the nest box so hopefully now that Tea knows what is going on she might pick a better place.
