Just wanted to share a picture of my Wellie Roo.

We also have a juvenile hen and Roo as well as 5 little pullets. I so excited for those speckley eggs!

Amy - don't be too quick to cull. Give the birds enough time to develop. I know, but it is a long process.

I got 4 Welsummer pullets today and 3 Black Jersey giants, I got 4 ISA Browns and 3 Lt. Brahmas Friday or Saturday and 2 Partage Silkies a few weeks ago. which makes me OMG 43 chickens... chicken math strikes again!!!!!

I cant wait till I start getting Welsummer eggs

Looking pretty good. I breed Marans and Welsummers also.

Here is one of my hens with my daughter. Not sure if most are as docile as ours, but even our six year old can pick them up. Hopefully their molt will end soon and we will have some nice eggs again.

Too cute! Reminds me of my youngest. He loves to tend to the chickens with me. His favorite thing is to check for and gather the eggs for me.

Poor fella had his comb frostbit, but he'll have a replacement when I start hatching soon.

Yeah my roos took it pretty rough this winter with the frostbite. Coldest winter here in several decades they were saying on the news the other day.
