what are you feeding her ..is she on layer feed..were did she come from ..in general they start laying around 6 months..altho large breeds tend to lay a little later but not 4 months later..

Yes, she's a wellie and she looks ready to lay anytime now. They don't normally take that long to lay. Usually, mine start in the 24-30 week range. I did have one freeloader that held out for 11 months. She laid for a few months and then went broody.

My babies are now about 5 weeks old.
The pullets are feathering out nicely. My little Roo is still looking rough, slow to feather out.
I never had Wellies, can anyone tell me if their coloring is looking good?
I'm loving the bright yellow legs on them. Not sure of their breeding.

They're on fermented feed. A quality layer feed. The other girls lay great but they're just hatchery chickens, the wellie came from a breeder and my ameraucana took 9 months to lay from a real breeder so I was sorta expecting a wait but Daaaang! Everyone gets along well too. She's got the fluffyist bottom and her comb has been screaming red for weeks now! Lol
:th I want her egg so bad I can taste it, I even sigh a lil collecting eggs :gig
