Keep an eye on those earlobes. If they stay that white, then you have a brown leghorn. A welsummer pullet will have pale earlobes that then turn red when they get older. (white is a DQ for the breed)
Likely somewhere in between.i have a question..if i let my wellie roo breed one of my wyandottes will the pullets i get lay dark brown eggs like the wellies or is it still a crap shoot and it can go either way..
I crossed my welsummer male to a BR female, making a black sex link. My BR laid a pale tan egg. Here is the BSL egg. (and yes, it's really that color)
