Does anyone else have a Welsummer that has taken an extremely long time before laying it's first egg? Mine is almost 9 months old.
If you had looked it up, you would have found that they rarely go broody. You've got a strange batch!I haven't had Welsummers that long...less than two years...but this summer I had five of mine go broody. I didn't think to look up the frequency of broodiness in the breed.
