They gather in a group like that every evening, just before they roost. It looks to me like they're holding a meeting, discussing the days events, chitty chatting. Then one by one they head into the coop and roost for the night.

I've found with mine that the cockerels have that salmon color but it's patchy. Girls= solid boys= patchy..

Hehe! Yeah seems like it's taken forever to get to 5 months! One of my speckled Sussex laid today though so that's good! Just can't wait to see some pretty Wellie eggs
