The Welsummer Thread!!!!

Pics
I just came across this Welsummer thread, and as this is the breed I think i've decided upon for the spring, I have a question. Does anyone know of a breeder of Welsummers in eastern Canada where I can get 3 or 4 only?

Grandmaof5- I wish I could help you out but I do not know, I hope someone comes along and can help you out.

If you can find them...it's my opinion you will not be dissapointed. I adore my Wellies!

Beautiful eggs! I'm pretty sure the pointy end comes out first. This would make sense 'cause the end that enters the duct first would have more pressure on it and the rest of the egg would be exposed to the coloring deposits a little longer. Don't think my gals would appreciate it if i picked them up, when their laying, to have a look.

The rest of the egg follows pretty fast once all of it has dropped into place.

My Wellies have done very well for me at shows and in the size and color of their eggs.
Champion Large fowl and Champion continental as well as BB and BV. They are good birds for showing!

I sold my welsummer flock recently to make some room going into winter and missed them so much I tried to buy them back but the guy wouldn't sell them to me!

Just one of my many mistakes!
