The Welsummer Thread!!!!

I glad to hear that it is normal. She is not loud just different. I have only two Wellie girls as I gave one to a friend and the others were roosters. My second girl doesn't say much ..............yet?

We have 3 hens and 3 roosters that look identical to Welsummers, and when we got them from a friend who was overrun with chicks- free range mommas- she said the woman she got them from claimed them as Old Game/ fighting and welsummer x's. They lay tan eggs, not dark or speckled. They are docile, and good mothers, they all 3 just hatched chicks last week. Can someone tell me how to get the pix on here...I uploaded some but now I can't move them. Would love to have you see them. Only 1 of the 3 roosters has the spurs.

Just poppin in to say hello to all the Wellie fans! Hope everyone and their birds are doing great.

Ewe~

Lost one chick, he didnt listen to momma when it was time to go beddie bye! I locked them up at ten at night before I go to bed, and found that poor thing all cold and wet (it rained all night) in the morning. As of today, the flock is doing well and momma talked all the time. Those babies are so cute! Looks like we will have more rain!

I could not download the pics from camera to computer....it kept saying needs downloading which it does not need downloading. GRRRRRR!

Glad to hear that everyone else is good and adjusting well. Nice to hear that some parts of the country are getting a bit of reprieve from the heat.
