The Winter granny square swap.

I just read all the posts to this thread and from what I gather, we are not doing a standard color final round, correct? So one 6" square for each participant (13) with the last round crafters' choice, is that right?

I've been working on a 12" square solid cream color fisherman-type patchwork afghan for my daughter's boyfriend for Christmas. 42 squares (6x7 - he's a big guy), 3 of each of 14 patterns. I'm so excited to see how it's gonna look. Sort of a twist on the traditional Aran afghan. I'll post pictures when it's done (probably Christmas Eve at 4am).

I also want to get a bunch of amigurini chicks done for the NEPC in January. A friend of mine will have a table so I can sell some stuff. If I have time, I want to do some crocheted pumpkin pie slices and chicken legs.
I have an amigurimi project I'm working on too. I've been concentrating on squares for swaps and putting them together lately so it has been on hold, but I'd really like to finish it.

You are correct. We'll each add our favorite color later on. Yes one 6" square for each participant. Now if you know someone who'd like to join who is not a member of BYC that's fine too.

Have to ask. what is a "amiguini chick"??

I do not have you down for this swap. Certainly you can whip up a few squares. Please??? I'm ready to post to CL for more people.

Left to right: Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock, Lavender Orpington, Buff Orpington, White Leghorn, Easter Egger. I'm going to do some White Silkies with fluffy white yarn and a White Crested Black Polish with a black body and a white eyelash yarn top. Should be cute.

When you use the fluffy white yarn for the silkie you need to give that poor naked EE a bead and muffs. lol

Can we sign up for double?? If so I will...if I can

I'm not sure how that would work but I guess so.

I have been all over the internet looking for a square to do and I think I've found one. Bought some yarn yesterday. Oh AC moore had a big thing of white for $5.29. Lion Brand pound of love. Should be enough to do squares for the swap. I also bought a skein of Simply Soft Party in the white not on sale.

I was thinking of doing double also. I guess if I signed up as a second person, I would do two squares for each participant and receive 2 sets of squares back. Like smkchick1 and smkchick2. Should work, right?
