the real lite color ones are splash, med to dark with blue fluff on wings and body are blue, the blk are really dark and look like glw chicks. there will not be any blue grey tint to fluff. at least not for me. that is how I tell. still some keep you wondering if you are wrong on the color or not.

Look up pictures of Daniel Jerome's birds. Make sure you check for stubs, as well. Saw a very nice looking wyandotte bantam get DQd this past weekend for stubs.

yes, stubs are a killer.....I think the judge uses a magnifying glass because when you think you have them all pulled, you miss one.

While not wanting to comment on any ones bantams. Doesn't anyone have wyandotte bantams that don't have bunny tails? I was given a white wyandotte hen (well past laying) that was perfect for the standard. Ever since then, I've been VERY critical as it seems all have bunny tails. I like bunny tails but that isn't what a wyandotte is to have.

I know my partridge have bunny tails and I HATE it but I haven't seen any that don't with that color pattern. I hatch several looking for that pullet that doesn't have it. Altho the pullets aren't as bad as the roosters are.

My 4 little BLR bantams just came in today!

Can you tell what color they will be this early?

I have one that is a little darker(on the left), with the stripe on her back, and three that are lighter, like the one on the right.

we don't have a problem with bunny tail on our partridge wyandotte bantams.....
stubs are where the feathers grow between the toes and sometimes on the shanks
