Alright let me try one more time and if you dont agree with me, I give up and you can say that all Partridge Wyandotte Bantams have bunny tails as much as you want...and I will just be quiet.

Here is a picture of my sons cockerel he is showing tomorrow.....I took the picture just before dark, just for your enjoyment

I dont see the cochin tail on this partridge wyandotte that you are talking about? Does anyone else think the tail on these two birds are even slightly similar? The black cochin has a classic bunny tail that is desired in the cochins...the partridge does not.......I think he has a pretty nice wyandotte tail...

I agree there is nothing cuter or prettier than a blue wyandotte chick......even my beloved BLRW chicks are not nearly as cute with the chipmunk stripes...and they only get prettier when all those blue feathers come out with the black lacing..

Thank you Jerry.

The Wyandotte rooster is very lovely. I am a noob as far as proper breed type goes but his tail is pointed at the top versus the very roundness of the cochin hen's tail.

I'm done with this as some are taking it personnal. It's not. Again, as I look at the silver laced on page 2 of this thread, I ask myself do mine show this form of tail. My answer is NO. I've yet to see any that do in the partridge color. They have a "rounded tail" similiar (not the same, similiar) to a cochin rooster. It's not the "tee pee" as some want to call it--yes I've seen hens with this tail but not the roosters.

Some don't agree, fine. I'm done. Look at page 2, it's obvious.

To the owner of those silver laced on page 2, YES, I'm ENVIOUS.......

Hello, I'm new to this thread and would appreciate some opinions and advice on my BLRWs. I have a trio and they are about 6 months old (still waiting on eggs). They came from a local breeder (I got them when they were chicks) and I think they are beautiful, but don't really know enough to judge their quality. They are all 3 splash and I would like to add a couple of blue hens. I am wondering if you think these are good enough quality to go back and get more from this breeder or try to order eggs from another line? I welcome your thoughts and oppinions and would appreciate any tips on what to look for in a good BLRW.

Thank you, Robert

The Foleys had a young pair of Partridge bantams for sale on Featherauction a couple of weeks ago. The roo had an excellent tail! That's why I bid on them.

Tab's chicken obsession :

Has anyone ever tried breeding blue laced silver? I was contemplating what the different wyandotte mixes would look like and was just curious.

OOooo that sounds lovely. I have not seen any pictures so I don't know
