I never heard of it either...... cute word though

Gee... I must be older than I thought.

I used two cliches in class a while back and the students had NO idea what I meant: said the hens were "hobnobbing" and "chewing the fat" - are those old folk generational, too?

Gorgous, beautiful, chickies Katy.
I would definitely bite if you put their eggs on BYC auction.

And of Mrs. Turbo (Foley) puts eggs on BYC auction I would faint from excitement!

If you want to take the Old Fogey Test, how many people have never heard of Sammy Davis Jr.??? I think I am aging at an alarming rate . . .

I try to only breed birds that look like these and some splash as well with that roo above and with a black laced cockerel that should only produce blue chicks.

If weather permits, I'll try to take more current photos tomorrow.

Sue

We purchased some started pullets from Sue last spring and they are LOVELY birds! Not only are they beautiful to look at, they also are great layers. Our girls lay 5-6 eggs/week each in the summer and are at 4-5 eggs/week this winter.

Thanks Sue!

If you want show able Wyandotte bantams contact Andy Anderson. He advertises in the Poultry Press. He was also an APA Honoree at the APA National in December. Andy's ad states they are $17 dozen, freight paid. He does not have email nor does the forums. He also ships pairs and trios. I have purchased from him in years past and he has excellent stock. Contact him at:

I just saw his ad in this months Poultry Press. I got it yesterday and was reading it and was going to ask about him.

I love love love their names!!! I like your SLW roo. He looks nice to my "untrained" eye. Your hens tail looks wrong but if you're not showing her, I guess its okay. They're a cute couple!!

I should have hatching eggs later on in late winter/early spring. I sell them thru the auction when I have them. Where are you located? You might contact Foley's waterfowl (turbo and Mrs. Turbo on BYC) to see if the have any pairs to ship. They also sell chicks and they have really nice birds. Have you done any hatching? If you haven't I'd encourage you to get chicks since shipped eggs are a risk on how many will hatch. Are you wanting bantams or large fowl? I have a few SLW bantams too. Here's pictures of a few of my large fowl birds.
