Why is it there are so many good Silver Laced birds and SO many bad Gold Laced?

I've yet to find a breeder of truly good Gold Laced Wyandottes.

Nice birds though, people!

I want to do a rare color, but also a pretty color that I don't already have in another breed. . . .

I'm thinking of getting some chocolate wyandotte hens LF. Is there a resource in working them down to bantams? Also would throwing in a black male bantam help to keep the brown a darker brown?

I got some eggs from Andy last spring. I hatched out two pretty good looking young Columbian pullets from them. He has good prices on his eggs and a wonderful gentleman to do dealings with.

Sorry was referring to the gentleman who was spoken of a few posts before. His name is Andy Anderson. He advertises for hatching eggs in the Poultry Press each month. Very reasonable price and has a very wide variety of Wyandotte bantams and a few other breeds.
