The Wyandotte Thread

Does anyone have any Quality White Wyandotte Bantams ?

Can you post some pics please ?

I found some bantam white wyadottes for sale, & looking to compare quality.

They look pretty good , as far as quality.

Before I go spending $$$ help, I need good pics of quality wyandottes to compare.

what is the dates and time on that show? My hubby just asked when it is. I sooooo hope that means we can go to the show. Does it cost to get in - not showing just to watch? Thanks!

I think it is $5 if you are not showing. The show is on Nov. 13th and 14th, but the sale cages are open starting Friday...not sure what time, i would say sometime after noon.
There is a thread started in the swap/shows section about Columbus and Neil has all the info there.

Aw, Man! Don't tell me that! We won't be there until around 8pm that night - coming from NJ.

This may not be the most appropriate place to post this, but given that a lot of you here breed Wyandottes I wanted to know if there is any truth to the markings being a gender determinant on a BLRW chick. Case in point, Feathersite's Wyandotte page has at the bottom pictures of BLRW chicks with a pictures of a male (first pic) and female (second):

Do males actually have darker chipmunking, than the females that seem to have blurred pattern lines? If so this is GREAT for me because it would see that of my 8 chicks that only one is a male.

I'm not sure that it works the same way as with welsummers' eyeliner. The dark blue and black blr usually have more chipmunking than the splash chicks. The chick on the left appears (in my unexpert opinion) to be dark blue while the one on the right is a splash.
