Their here! The first pip was at 1:30 pm Monday and first hatched on Tuesday Morning between 5am and 9am. The last one to hatch was last night (Thursday), although number 13 (now called "Lucky") was pretty late and not doing so well. It took a long time for it to get out and there seemed to be to much blood around the shell. Last night it could barley lift it's head and today it's hobbling around the brooder. So HOPEFULLY

Duchess (mama hen) is 9 mo. old and this is her first time to be broody she is a real champ! We had to move her twice but she was determined to be a mama! We took 4 of the eggs and used the bator since there were so many. I just can't believe the hatch rate!!

1 dozen babies! #13 was not here yet

interestingly 2 of the chicks have featherd legs (other than the cochinx and the hen has never interacted with my cochin! It must be somewhere in her genes! Egg #14 never formed, I must have missed it in candeling somehow.

Wow, that's adorable! Great pics!

I've only ever seen hatches in my incubator, as I strain and contort my body in order to get an eyeball in position to peer through the windows, in between droplets of condensation.
