Hi. Its sad that this is my Second post here and my Young chick seems sick.
I dont have any Idea what is happening to him. Yesterday was a specially hot night and he was mouth breathing in his Room and drinking a lot of water so I opened his Windows a litlle bit to cool the Room down and he seemed better ,stoped breathing by his mouth and went to sleep well. But today after checking on him he got back to mouth breathing and seems a bit less energetic than usual. His temperature seems higher , I Saw a few watery bloody looking stools. His nose sounds stuffy and he has a Small gash in his comb.... I am very worried and planning on taking him to a vet tomorrow but I could really use some guidance here from you more experienced chicken owners
He os about 2,5 months old now and looks like a Plymouth barren rock breed

Your title says cockatiel, but it sounds like you're talking about a chicken?

Bloody stool is a classic sign of coccidiosis, so you need to get him on a coccidiostat. I'm not sure where you're located but if you can get Corid, get that.

I'm Sorry he really is a chicken, I for my terms confused . I am looking into more information about that disease now thank you Very much! And Will taken the preventive measures to Ensure he gets better! I could not find a list of simptoms that included mouth breathing and stuffy nose on that disease. Do you think there might also be something Else in there?

Yes, he could also have a respiratory disease. There are a lot of those, like mycoplasma, coryza, infectious bronchitis, etc.

Or maybe something is irritating him, like what you're using for bedding, or if you haven't changed his pen in a while it could be a build up of ammonia, etc.

I cant thank you enough for your help! I will be taking every precaution for the next few days to isolate him from his room while It is cleaned and give him him some medicine! And have already arranged for a big open cage to be built on my appartment so he can have more space and more ventilation ( and to help me keep his space cleaner!). Thank you again for your help!

Where are you located? It helps to know what country, so that proper medicines may be recommended. If he has coccidiosis, drugs such as amprollium or coxoid, sulfa antibiotics, and toltrazuril are used by vets to treat the disease, usually given in the water for several days to a week. Here is a good link to read about common respiratory diseases, and another about coccidiosis:

Thank you so much! I'll be reading through that today! I'm actually located in Brazil over at the Northwest side. I am searching for vets in my area so tomorrow morning I'll Go there and search for the medicine and some more advice for my specific case

You may want to change your thread name to “baby chick” instead of cockatiel, so more people will look at it and offer help.
I got confused with the names XD but cant change the title or delete the tread 9-9 idk what or how to do it
