To the South: "The bird - shooters" Shooting band-tailed pigeons from trees on Mothers' Day (the birds lay 1 egg/year and are protected)
To the East: The tweakers - they take on projects involving big bonfires and lots of noise after midnight
To the west - a nice family that raises chickens and gardens and generously shares the rewards and puts up with our goats.
To the North - The prodgeny (2 boys about 19 yrs old) of the couple up the road that owns the house they live in. They're specialties include driving gigantic trucks really fast, partying late, and keeping a rat terrier puppy tied up on the porch that cries and yeowls when no one is home.
LOVE this post . . . let's see, I have a snotty broad and her weird kid and very nice husband catty-cornered across the road, a very nice couple wayyyy back off the road that lost her dad back there in Feb. to a tree falling the wrong way . . .horrible tragedy,
wonderful guy. . .then a young married non-minister couple across the road in the parsonage, and then next door to them is a VERY snotty, better than you guy
and his wife who has a sour look on her face all the time, and their soon to be driving age son that gets away with murder because he is just so "darn cute", another neighbor and her husband that are great to the West, his goofy nephew and his lazy wife and son next to them . . .goofy nephew has a light on in his little shed all the time, because as the one son told me, "he doesn't like to walk into a dark room". I thought that was what light switches were for, but who knows,
then I have my favorite next door to the east that is into Salvage and has a messy place, but he is great and would help us out in a heartbeat if need be. It's really a great little area to live in, been here almost 39 years since we got married, and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. We just learn to keep to ourselves and only talk to the ones that count!!! I couldn't hold a candle to some of what you are dealing with!!!
