These arent barred rocks, are they?

Yeah, the only one that had a head spot ended up being a boy. All of these had no head spot.
Are you 100% sure it was a boy? Could've been your only Barred Rock, maybe.


If they're black sexlinks the females should have some sort of gold/red leakage in their breasts area, or in the neck hackles. Some are solid black, with a small amount of leakage.
 
Sorry, not the best picture, but the 2 with barring in this bucket (I was transporting them outside to have a little yard time) were about 3 weeks old when this picture was taken. I would expect to see more barring in the wings at 3-4 weeks if yours were BR.

I agree. They're feathers are already mostly in and the chick fuzz gone. All black except for the white tips.

Not 100%but this was "him" at 1.5 weeks. So far I havent seen any red.
 
Oops, sorry, heres the picture of chick at 1.5 weeks. He definitely wasnt a barred rock but could have possibly been a domonique
