I would like to build my own incubator. I'm quite familiar with micro-controllers, sensors, LCD-displays, relays and all that stuff. It will be a fun project sometime in the future…
Yes i read about George! @Magnolia Ducks i wish you great success with the eggs!
Next winter's project for you! You'll have plenty of eggs for sure!

Not yet but my post office does not open for another 4 dang minutes. And they don't answer a minute early. I could not sleep last night, it got down to 38 degrees here and I just pictured them freezing in transport. Like I said before patience is not one of my virtues.

AllI can say about incubating is don’t get one of those made in China ones. The instructions make no sense. We were lucky with ours and the muttlings. Magnolia Ducks is trying to use it right now and is pulling her hair out over the controls. She has much more at stake than we did. The Rouen drake she got from us was killed last week. She is trying to hatch two eggs that will be his legacy. Her hen is too stressed and grieving to lay anymore .
oh no, I just looked at my Hova-bator box and it is made in China just like everything else seems to be these days! It isn't a fancy one. It's only got a fan and a temperature gauge. I've got an all in one humidity/temperature thing that I'll put in the incubator when I start it up just to be sure its accurate. I'm doing the salt slurry test now for it in a zip lock bag.
