They told me they were Production Blue

But I think the little girl at the Wilco Farm Store gave me the wrong birds....My two 4 month old pullets don't look like the pictures on the internet I have found. Any ideas?

By the way, one has a bit of a crest, as shown in the headshots, and is bigger by at least ten percent than the one with no crest. I will try to post better shots of it on another post, as I am curious to know if one might be a rooster.

The crested on is probably a Legbar cross olive egger. The other looks to be a golden cuckoo Marans. Both females for sure.

Lakeside Eggers are a hybrid created by Meyer Hatchery which lays a blue egg. Lakeshore Eggers I believe were a similar hybrid project from further back by the same hatchery, but they don’t offer them anymore as far as I know.

I don’t think your pullet with the crest is a Lakeside Egger though, as they are supposed to be both crested and bearded, and I see no beard on her.

My vote on the crested one is also Legbar but I am no pro. If she is, in sbout two months she should gift you with a pretty blue egg!

The crested one looks to be a Legbar mix of some sort, very pretty girl! She has a very nice crest.
