They've gone too far!!

Every time we've tried to introduce the cat to the chickens she tries to kill one of them, so her stupid butt is in the house so my chickens can free range.

When my 2 male cats became "curious" I just ran them away from the chickens - I supervised free range time when they were small. Now that they are a couple of months old - the cats never look at them anymore. I just made them keep their distance, and now the chickens come right up to the cats, but then they are as big or bigger than the cats now, lol. I still keep an eye on them though.

I have many animals which try to come inside now! At first it was just the goats, but now it's the chickens too. We have one crossbeak chicken which we will bring inside to eat out of the food container sometimes, so now she feels she's entitled. Every time that door opens, she's right there, pushing her way inside!!

I let her in the other morning, and forgot about her. My daughter wakes up and walks in to the bathroom and RUNS in to me

Mom, Mom, Mom!!! There's a chickadee in the bathroom.

Yep, a bunch of unruley, ill mannard theives. I thought the goat was bad.

Chickens just seem to be oportunists. They do what they want and are darn persistant.

Thank goodnes they all go to the barn and roost for 12 hours or I would have a real problem.

When I first got my cat...I put her into a pen of baby chicks. With a broody momma.

Cat has NEVER looked at a chick since. She DOES like to sleep with the "sick" chickens (busted leg, wound, cuts) though....cuddles up. So cute!

we have a mille flur rooster that comes into the garage anytime he sees the door open, we got him about a month ago, and he just started doing it about 2 weeks ago. He is really calm and friendly and i think the reason he comes in is for the chick starter that gets "scratched" out of the brooder....He did get a hold of a toe yesterday, poor little guinea was stretchin out and her toe looked like aworm i guess...lol

Every morning I have to check by the back door for Kitty's gifts before I turn the chooks loose. Grown rabbits, squirrels, rats; she gets them all. The only creature she doesn't bother is the armadillos.

Mine come in the living room every night at dusk. I sit in a chair right by the back door and after a few minutes they will be climbing on me. Other than when I first open their coop in the morning its the only time they let me touch them so I'm grateful for it. My wife isn't so keen on it though. She tells me that when I'm not home at dusk they throw themselves against the door trying to get in before they give up and go to the coop.

They don't venture in much farther than that but its only because they haven't figured out that we keep food in the house.
I fed them some scraps while I was cooking out back on the grill once and now they circle me like vultures every time I grill.

Mine have all been brooded in the house but they hadn't figured out the steps up the deck until recently. They stare at the cat from the other side of the glass deck doors until she gets so unnerved she hides under the end table. Only the silkies really want in. They really enjoy their bathes and make a beeline for the bathroom when one of them gets the opportunity.

The sebastopol goslings like to be carried around and really enjoy lounging in the hammock with me. Thank goodness the poop machines haven't learned the steps yet.
