Things only country kids would say:

"Mom!! The goat ate my homework!" (Holding up page with the corner ripped off and crying)

"Tom (rooster) sure does like to romance Big Bertha, but she just pushes him off and runs away"

"Mom, Steve's (goat) in the house again"





BTW~ I could have NEVER imagined our school library would have so many books about chickens.

DD age 5 to county commissioner at county fair, "His name is Prince Fluffy Pants, do you need me to write it." after CC told her he was going to announce her roo won best in show.

Well...Yesterday while my friends and I were waiting to go to the bus at school, I explained to my teacher and them the difference between a hen and a rooster and that the egg can only be fertile with a rooster...my teacher thought that all eggs were fertile and could only be laid if a rooster was there and thought that roosters laid eggs, too.
