Reading about them, it seems unlikely that GloFish are toxic, they are just engineered to produce florescent proteins. Genetically modified fish were apparently regulated in California because people were concerned about salmon engineered to grow more quickly.

just found this thread. although I'm new to byc, I've been chicken keeping for a while. what I hate is when people say I shouldn't eat my chickens. Although I like my babies, if some are being too problematic and harassing the others or myself, they'll make a nice dinner for me and my family

I don’t feel the slightest remorse for my five lovely charming bantam roosters crowing. Considering your five toddlers are aloud to run and around screaming all the time, with yours being much louder than mine. Same goes for your hound dog that howls and barks loud enough for everybody in a mile’s radius to hear.

I agree. In my area, we need to pay for a permit to keep chickens, and we can't keep roosters because of the noise. I think that's a stupid rule because people have cats that come in my yard and destroy my garden and terrorize my chickens, and one time even ate my fish. And my neighbor's dog is really sweet, but barks so loud and wakes me up at night
