Things you wish you could say

You're wearing a thick winter parka.
A hat.
Gloves.
Boots.
Yet still cold.
Could it possibly be, the fact that you're wearing nothing but leggings on the roughly 40% of your body in freezing winter weather?
Dress for the weather, chica.
Or don't complain about the consequences of your idiot choices.
That'd be me until I got leg warmers to put over my leggings. I have none so fancy as these, but I'll bet I have every color under the rainbow. ☺️

Check FB marketplace too. Your local shelter won't be cheap, but they will have all of their shots and already be spayed or neutered.
We recently got a 6-month old kitten from our shelter for free. It was in the "barn cat" section unable to be adopted because she had scratched someone while holding her in a visitation room. She was fixed and had all her shots. I was amazed to see 5 other beautiful cats/kittens in the barn cat section for whatever reason.

We've had Stella now for about two months and she has been a joy to have.

I didn't even know there was a book.
Not to say I am surprised. I actually liked The Fox and the Hound book but it was very different from the movie.
Old Disney made movies close to the original stories. Then they started taking stories and butchering them. I still haven't forgiven them for The Black Cauldron and The Little Mermaid. They might have gotten away with The Little Mermaid if they'd changed the title rather than trying to pass it off as the fairy tale.

If you’ve read most of the original stories then there’s nothing left to hide.

The movie was suprisingly close to the book. I read that and Bambi's Children when I was a kid.
Compared with some other movie/book pairs, I suppose that might be true.
It didn't seem all that close to me.

Wikipedia has a plot summary that is a fairly close match to what I remember of the book.

I read that one too. As far as I can tell, they kept the title and not much else.

Not Disney, but "How to Train Your Dragon" is both a movie and a book too. I think it's the most different book/movie pair I've personally encountered. The movie kept the title and the names of a few main characters, and changed everything else. (Book has domesticated dragons as a main feature of life, and the main character has a baby dragon that is the smallest and weakest anyone has ever seen. Movie has everyone fighting wild dragons and no-one ever considered training one, then the main character tames/trains the toughest and most dangerous of the wild adult dragons.)
